The Organic Healthy Nut farm is located above the Eltham Valley at McLeans Ridges, in the beautiful sub-tropical Rainbow Region of Northern New South Wales.

Our generous rainfall allows us to utilize the rich basalt volcanic soils that originated as lava flow from Mt Warning. The towns of Byron Bay,  Ballina,  Alstonville, and Lismore are surrounded by green rolling hills and macadamia orchards.

We have established and operated our farm since 1989. Our gently undulating 23ha property supports 5,000 macadamia trees. Trees flower in July-September and set nuts that mature on the trees until April. Mature nuts fall onto the ground and are then mechanically harvested.

Attention to industry quality assurance, best practice and organic management plans ensures you only receive premium graded product of maximum nutritional value. Macadamias are considered the worlds finest nut by many and are the only Australian rainforest plant to become an international food.

Food can only be nutritionally wholesome and beneficial for you if soil health and biological balances are attended to. Our use of organic farming practice requires close attention to the laws of nature rather than simplistic chemical applications of synthetic fertilizers or agricultural sprays .
